A Period Property in Worcester
This distinctive period property on Shrubbery Avenue was originally used as architects’ offices before being converted into residential flats. We were appointed to carry out the exterior painting including painted timberwork and architectural detailing.
The Challenge
Access was a key consideration, with parts of the building facing a busy main road and architectural detailing at high level. The work was carefully planned so each elevation could be accessed safely and prepared properly.
Preparing the Exterior
Previously painted surfaces were inspected and prepared, with loose coatings removed, surfaces sanded and appropriate primers applied. Particular attention was given to exposed timberwork and high-level detailing.
A Durable Exterior Paint System
Johnstone’s Trade oil-based paints were used on the exterior woodwork, providing a durable, weather-resistant finish suited to exposed surfaces.
The Result
The completed decoration refreshed the property’s distinctive red and cream detailing while retaining the character of the original building.
